Randomisity

Happy: To see old friends in Texas and Philadelphia recently. Philadelphia friends are from way back in Harding days, and had recently moved from New York City. While I was amazed at how quickly they developed a non-New York lifestyle (complete with minivan), it was still great to visit them and their far-too-cute children.

Sad: That Tower Records is closing. With all the time and money I've wasted in that store over the years I can't believe that they need to go out of business. The digital age of music caught up to them, though. That leaves a total of one good record store in all of Music City: Grimey's over on 8th Ave South.

Frustrated: In my attempts to introduce the phrase "cotton to" to general conversation. People just don't cotton to it. Some even believe that I've have made up this phrase though its so not true. Skeptics, check out this site here. You best be cotton to the truth.

Happily Surprised: That I've been underpaid the past nine months. I probably should look at my paycheck more often. I did this month and realized that a raise I was supposed to have received last February has not yet appeared on the paycheck. That means a nice little bonus for the December check. I sure enough can cotton to that.

love "cotton to". I said someone "wasn't bigger than a minute" the other day and caught a really weird look.
Good luck on your quest. Speaking of bringing things back to popularity, I'm told to bring back neckerchiefs. what do you think?
